2025 Honda CB1000SP - Hornet

Due to a manufacturing issue, the main wiring harness may be incorrectly routed causing the fuel feed hose to disconnect. If this occurs, fuel may leak in the presence of an external ignition source resulting in a vehicle fire.

2022–2025 Honda CMX500 and CL500

Due to a manufacturing issue, the handlebar bolt may not have been fastened with sufficient torque and could become loose. This could lead to a loss of vehicle control whilst riding.

2024–2025 Honda CBR650R, CBR650R e-Clutch

Due to improper assembly, the indicator and rear lamp control switch wiring harness may become damaged due to vibration which could cause an internal short circuit. If this occurs, the turn signal system (front and rear), brake lights, horn, meter, hazard lights, taillight, and license plate light may illuminate as intended.

2025 Honda CB1000SP - Hornet

Due to a manufacturing issue, oil may leak past the engine piston rings. If this occurs, the engine could stall causing the rear wheel to lock leading to a loss of motive power and vehicle control whilst riding. In addition, oil could leak and contact the hot muffler resulting in a vehicle fire.

2024–2025 Honda CBR600R

Due to a manufacturing issue, oil may leak past the engine piston rings. If this occurs, the engine could stall causing the rear wheel to lock leading to a loss of motive power and vehicle control whilst riding. In addition, oil could leak and contact the hot muffler resulting in a vehicle fire.

2024–2025 Honda Accord

Due to a software issue, the integrated control module software may cause system errors. This can result in a sudden loss of motive power.

2025 Honda CB1000SP - Hornet

Due to a manufacturing defect, excessive heat from the exhaust may soften the paint around the gear change pivot bolt. If this occurs, the bolt may become loose and the gear shift pedal could detach preventing the rider from being able to change gears.

2020–2024 Honda CRF1100 African Twin CRF1100A MT Models and CRF1100D DCT Models

Due to a manufacturing defect, the wiring harness connected to the handlebars may become damaged over time. If this occurs, the horn and/or the headlights may not operate as intended.

2025 Honda CB750AS

Due to a manufacturing defect, the engine crankcase sealing bolt may not meet specifications. As a result, engine oil may leak onto the road and come in contact with the rear tyre leading to a loss of vehicle control.

2019–2023 Honda CBF300N

Due to a manufacturing defect, the headlight Printed Circuit Board (PCB) wiring may become damaged over time due to vibration. If this occurs, the headlights may not operate as intended.

2017–2021 Honda CBR1000RR 2012 - 2016YM, VFR1200FD 2013 - 2015YM, CBR600RAD 2013 - 2020YM, CBR1000RR 2017 - 2019YM

Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel pump impeller may not operate as intended. If this occurs, it could impair the fuel supply to the engine and result in a loss of power whilst riding.

2021–2022 Honda NSS350

Due to manufacturing defect with the driven face set, a problem may occur in the variable speed transmission that may cause improper acceleration or loss of motive power.

1996–1999 Honda ACCORD, CIVIC, CR-V, INTEGRA, LEGEND, LOGO

Affected concessional import vehicles may be fitted with a Takata NADI 5-AT driver airbag inflator that could allow moisture to enter the unit and degrade the airbag propellant. If this occurs, the properties of the propellant may be changed so that the propellant does not react as intended during a collision, causing mis-deployment of the airbag.

2021–2024 Honda CRF1100 African Twin CRF1100A models and CRF1100D models

Due to a software issue in the ECM, the system that prevents the front wheel from leaving the road under acceleration (wheelie control), may activate whilst operating the throttle, causing an acceleration failure.

2021–2024 Honda 24YM CR-V, 22YM - 24YM Civic, 24YM Civic Type R, 23YM-24YM ZR-V

The worm wheel grease may be displaced over time. If this occurs, the Electronic Power Steering system (EPS) may not operate as intended. This may result in abnormal steering noise and greater steering effort.

2022–2024 Honda 24YM Accord Hybrid, 24YM CR-V Hybrid, 23YM - 24YM Civic Hybrid, 23YM-24YM ZRV Hybrid

Due to a manufacturing defect, the high-pressure fuel pump solenoid valve may develop cracks. If this occurs, fuel may leak and in the presence of an external ignition source, could result in a vehicle fire.

2022 Honda Civic Hybrid

The battery cell negative terminals within the Lithium-ion battery module were manufactured with inadequate copper cladding and may fracture. If this occurs while the battery is energised it could lead to a vehicle fire.

2024 Honda CBR500R & CB500F

The circuit design inside the relay is configured incorrectly. Therefore, the flashing cycle of the turning signal will not comply with the Australian Design Rules (ADR).

2023–2024 Honda GB350

Due to a manufacturing defect, moisture may enter the front and rear wheel speed sensors. If the sensors are exposed to moisture ingress:    • the speedometer may not display as intended resulting in the rider unable to determine the speed of the vehicle;  • the Antilock Brake System (ABS) may be triggered and cause unintended brake application whilst riding; and • the traction control (TC) system might incorrectly perceive a difference in wheel speed between the front and rear wheels, causing a loss of driving force even when the throttle is opened.       Note: Hazard warning lights may appear on the instrument cluster to alert the rider that multiple vehicle functions are not fully operational.

2017 Honda ODYSSEY

Due to an improper manufacturing process, a component within the fuel pump could swell causing the fuel pump to become inoperative.

2017–2020 Honda Honda Odyssey, Accord, City, Civic, CR-V, HR-V, Jazz, Civic Type R, NSX

This is a re-notification of REC-000585. Due to an improper manufacturing process, a component within the fuel pump could swell causing the fuel pump to become inoperative.

2019–2023 Honda GL1800

Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel pump impeller may not operate as intended. If this occurs, it could impair the fuel supply to the engine and result in a loss of power whilst riding.

2017–2020 Honda CBR600R / CBR1000R / GL1800B

Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel pump impeller may not operate as intended. If this occurs, it could impair the fuel supply to the engine and result in a loss of power whilst riding.

2020–2021 Honda CBR600RR3

Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel pump may fail. This could restrict the fuel supply to the engine and result in a loss of power whilst riding. Under certain conditions, if the engine stalls the defective fuel pump may cause the engine to not start/restart from stationary.

2022–2023 Honda Civic Hybrid

Due to a software fault the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) can be reset when the vehicle switches to electric drive. This will erase stored vehicle fault codes and turn off the check engine light if it is activated.

2022–2023 Honda CBF300NA - 2022 & 2023 Model

Due to a manufacturing defect, a plug in the right crankcase cover may become loose. If this occurs, engine oil may leak onto the road and come in contact with the rear tyre. This could result in a loss of vehicle control.

2021–2022 Honda CR-V, Civic

Honda Genuine accessory window tint applied to the front (door) side windows does not meet specifications and may be too dark and reduce visibility.

2019–2022 Honda CBR1000RR & CRF1100D

Due to a software fault in the vehicle’s Electronic Control Unit (ECU) the engine may stall resulting in an unexpected loss of vehicle control.

2019–2021 Honda CBR1000RR

Due to a manufacturing issue, the oil cooler hose may become damaged due to the radiant heat exposure from the exhaust pipes.

2021 Honda CMX1100 and CBR1000SPL

Due to a manufacturing issue with the moulding of the radiator cap, coolant fluid may leak from radiator reservoir tank.

2020–2021 Honda CT125A - 2021 Year Model

Due to a manufacturing issue with welding of the gear change pedal arm and the change pedal boss, the gear pedal may crack or fall off.

2019–2020 Honda CBR500R, CB500F and CB500X - 19 Year Models

Due to a manufacturing issue with the anti-lock braking system (ABS) module it is possible that excess grease may adhere to internal components. Continued use of the motorcycle, without addressing this issue, may cause an internal pressure leak, which could lead to increased braking distances.

2020–2021 Honda C125AL, CB500F AM, CB500X, CB650R, CBR500R, CBR650R, CMX500A, CRF250L

The reflex reflector may not comply with the Australian Design Rule (ADR) 47 for reflection luminosity.

2019 Honda ACCORD HYBRID

In cold ambient temperatures, the DC-DC converter may shut down and prevent the 12-volt battery from recharging, resulting in a loss of drive power if the vehicle continues to be driven. Warning lights in the instrument cluster will illuminate and a warning message will also appear.

2020 Honda FIREBLADE CBR1000RR

The left cushion connecting plate may have been reversed when fitted. Over time, the connecting plate may break.

2018–2020 Honda CRF 1000, CRF1100 AFRICA TWIN ADVENTURE SPORTS

During manufacturing of the fuel tank, the zinc oxide generated by the tank seam welding process may have dislodged, accumulating in the fuel pump's suction filter. This may clog the filter and affect engine operation.

2020 Honda CBR1000RR FIREBLADE

The motorcycles gear change pivot bolt may loosen due to repeated heavy shifting of the gears. In some cases, the bolt will loosen and break off, resulting in the release of the gear change pedal and a failure to change gears.

2019–2020 Honda ODYSSEY

Due to incorrect manufacturing of the rear seatbelt assembly, the webbing sensor in the 3rd row left rear seat belt assembly may become inoperative.

2018–2021 Honda CIVIC, CITY, JAZZ, CRV, HRV, ACCORD

Due to an improper manufacturing process, a component within the fuel pump could swell causing the fuel pump to become inoperative.

1997–2000 Honda ACCORD, CR-V, LEGEND, ODYSSEY, CIVIC, INTEGRA

Due to insufficient strength and riding vibrations, the horn bracket may fatigue and fracture.

The groove on the main shaft was incorrectly manufactured and is oversized, possibly resulting in the circlip loosening and causing gear damage.

2014–2018 Honda PCX150

The voltage setting applied to the LED Control Unit (LCU) is inadequate. As a result, oxide may be generated on the contact surface resulting in an increase in the contact resistance, causing the switch to fail. This may result in the turn signal light, hazard signal and high beam not operating as intended.

2017–2018 Honda CIVIC TYPE R

In certain vehicles, the Owner's Manual supplied may not contain all relevant information required by the mandatory standard. In other vehicles, the Owner's Manual may not have been supplied.

2017–2018 Honda Honda Motorcycle and Power

If the motorcycle is used continuously at high speed, the heat generated may cause the clutch basket to break.

2017 Honda CBR1000

A defect in the fuel cap seal may allow fuel to leak from the fuel tank, or water to enter the fuel tank.

2013–2016 Honda ACCORD

The battery sensor installed in the affected vehicles may have been improperly manufactured, with gaps that could allow for moisture intrusion.

2013–2016 Honda NBC110

A manufacturing defect within the fuel pump may lead to reduced performance and affect the long term durability of the fuel pump.

2013–2015 Honda NSS300

A manufacturing fault in the material of the fuel pump inlet cover may cause it to swell and prevent the pump impeller from operating.

0 Honda CB300F/CBR300R

Due to incorrect Quality Control during the manufacturing process, the engine crankshaft bearings may fail and cause the engine to stop suddenly and be unable to be restarted.

Due to a manufacturing defect, one of the securing nuts on the Rear Brake Hose Flange may not be tightened to the correct specification.

0 Honda VT750C - 750cc, Cruiser

Due to the fixing method for the Bank Angle Sensor wiring harness, the wiring may bend and break after prolonged usage.

0 Honda VFR 1200

Due to an incorrect assembly procedure at the factory, the driveshaft bearings may overheat and deteriorate, causing them to fail.

0 Honda CIVIC HATCH

Selected Honda Civic Hatch vehicles were installed with owner's manuals specified for EU vehicles.

0 Honda GL 1800

After prolonged exposure to certain types of brake fluid, a reaction may occur between the fluid and the brake hose material. The resultant 'residue' can obstruct the return gallery of the secondary brake master cylinder, causing it to bind and overheat.

2002–2003 Honda MDX

There may be variation within the SRS electronic control units (ECU), producing excessive electrical noise. This may cause an airbag to inadvertently deploy.

0 Honda YM ACCORD HYBRID

Due to electrical 'noise', the vehicle may suddenly switch to fail-safe EV mode while cruising at highway speed, causing the internal combustion engine to shut off with visual and audible warnings. Although there will be a sudden loss of power, the electric motor will provide power steering and braking. The maximum speed will be limited to approximately 60km/h.

0 Honda YM CITY, YM JAZZ,

The affected vehicles have CVT programming that uses high hydraulic pressure which may subject the drive pulley shaft to high stress during operation. The higher stresses combined with a shaft of lower hardness may result in the shaft breaking during use.

0 Honda CBR500R/CB500F

The float arm on the fuel pump level gauge may break off, due to reduced strength during usage.

0 Honda 400cc to 1300cc MOTORCYCLES

Excessive sealant may have been applied to the starter solenoid during manufacture.

0 Honda 250cc to 650cc MOTORCYCLES

Excessive sealant may have been applied to the starter solenoid during manufacture.

2013–2015 Honda YM Accord & YM CR-V

In certain driving conditions, the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) may unexpectedly activate while operating the vehicle. In rare cases, the system may interpret certain roadside objects, such as metal fences or guardrails, as obstacles and apply emergency braking through the CMBS.

0 Honda CBR1000SE & CBR1000SF

The Pistion Nut on some Rear Cushion shock absorbers may not have been correctly tightened to specification when being manufactured.

0 Honda CB650FE / FAE

After prolonged steering operation, the Front Sub-Wiring Harness may crack causing loss of power to the main iginition switch. Should this occur the engine may cut out and be unable to be re-started.

0 Honda CB/CBR500

Due to an incorrect procedure during manufacture of the Rocker Arm Shaft Sealing Bolt, it may come loose causing oil to leak from the engine.

0 Honda NBC110

The front brake cable may break. If this occurs the front brake becomes inoperable, in addition, the parking brake no longer functions.

0 Honda MDX

There may be issues with some SRS electronic control units (ECU) producing excessive electrical noise. Overtime, this this may damage the SRS ECU unit and could result in an airbag deployment signal being issued without a crash.

2005–2007 Honda YM INTEGRA & YMS2000

When the brake pedal is pressed, the master power booster body can be displaced and the seal-ability of the diaphragm can be reduced. If this occurs brake assist power is reduced, causing a longer stopping distance than expected.

2004–2005 Honda MDX

The Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) may not operate as designed and may cause Brake Assist functionality to operate spontaneously.

2007–2012 Honda CB400

Water may be able to enter the wiring harness and corrode the rear brake light switch.

0 Honda NC700

Due to improper heat treatment of some drive chain outer plates, some of the plates may have excessive hardness. This may lead to fracturing of the outer plates, causing the drive chain to fly off while in motion.

0 Honda CR-V

A misalignment in the welding of the right lower control arm and the sub frame push collar inside the vehicle may cause the welded area to break.

2008–2010 Honda Civic Type-R

The wire harness was not routed in the correct location.

0 Honda Jazz

The driver's side power window switch contains a switch unit that has been manufactured with an inappropriate design. Therefore, it is possible for automotive cleaning products containing silicones to enter into the switch unit.

0 Honda VT750C

The unique vibration characteristics of this particular model can cause resonance that may affect the operation of the Back Angle Sensor. If the sensor is affected, it can cause the engine to shut off during normal riding conditions and the engine cannot be re-started until the ignition switch has been turned off and back on.

2002–2008 Honda Accord Euro

Prolonged high under-bonnet temperatures may cause the power steering hose to deteriorate prematurely and may cause the hose to crack and leak power steering fluid.

2005–2006 Honda Civic Hybrid

A rectifier diode used in the DC-DC converter may have been damaged during manufacture which could lead to an internal short circuit during customer usage.

2008–2010 Honda City, Jazz Hatch

The sliding portion between the lost motion spring and rocker arm is not sufficiently lubricated for high surface pressure setting at low engine speed, potentially causing breakage of the auxiliary spring during usage.

0 Honda Jazz

There is insufficient margin set for the length of an electric wire connected to the headlight switch. As a result, the terminal joint portion moves, contact resistance increases, the terminal generates heat, and the coupler melts.

0 Honda Legend

It is possible that the rubber seal portion at the rear end of the brake master cylinder may turn and brake fluid may leak from the seal portion, causing the warning light to be illuminated.

0 Honda CB400

Due to improper mounting position of the Rear Brake Light Switch assembly, the temperature of the switch assembly may be increased by heat from catalytic converter. Therefore, if the switch assembly is cooled with some external water (ie. rain or puddle), the water can penetrate into the switch cover inside.

2007–2009 Honda CR-V

It is possible a child restraint anchor fitting may not have been installed in the centre seating position during the manufacturing process. If the child restraint anchor fitting was not installed, a child restraint cannot be used in the centre seating position.

0 Honda CRF150R/RB

A defect may exist in the weld on the swing-arm. Under certain riding conditions the weld could crack and the swing-arm could fail, leading to a crash in which the rider could be severely injured.

0 Honda Jazz

During the manufacturing process, damage may have occurred to a joint in the handbrake lever assembly mechanism. Continued use may cause sufficient wear for the joint to detach and make the handbrake assembly unserviceable.

0 Honda Civic Type R

If the handbrake is applied with the release button intentionally or unintentionally pressed there is a risk that the handbrake may not latch sufficiently.

0 Honda TRX500 FA, FGA, FE & FM Motorcycles

In some circumstances ingress of water into the carburettor throttle body may occur due to rain or pressure washing. The water may freeze and cause the throttle to have sluggish response or to seize.

0 Honda Legend

Potential fluid loss from a power steering feed hose. The cause of the power steering hose fluid loss is unexpectedly high heat deterioration, causing a corresponding loss of material flexibility and durability. Fluid loss may result in an increase in steering effort, smoke from fluid contacting hot exhaust components and, in the worst case, fire.

2001–2005 Honda VFR800

Under certain conditions, when owners fit after-market head-light bulbs, the ground wire terminals inside the sub-harness connector may overheat and melt the wiring connector, causing loss of power to various circuits.

0 Honda Civic

A defect relating to vehicle safety exists due to a potential failure of the stop lamp switch, resulting in the stop lamps failing to function when the brake pedal is depressed. The cause of the stop lamp switch failure is an excessive quantity of grease applied to the telescopic steering column mechanism.

0 Honda Civic

The low beam headlamps may fail to operate. This condition will occur due to an increase in contact resistance caused by oxidation between the male terminal of the head lamp combination switch and the adjoining terminal coupler. Due to movement between the male and female terminals a build up of dioxide film is created, increasing resistance and causing heat build up to a point where the terminal connector begins to melt.

0 Honda VT750C

Due to insufficient contact pressure in the handlebar switch connectors, it is possible for the switch contacts to overheat and lose contact.

0 Honda SCV100

Due to an oversight in the checking process of the Front and Rear wheel rim and hub assemblies at the factory, some nuts were identified with insufficient tightening torque.

0 Honda Accord Euro, Odyssey, Civic, Jazz, Accord

A potential for the fuel pump relay to open circuit resulting in the engine stalling and being unable to restart. Throughout the manufacturing process of the fuel pump relay, sealand contamination of the relay coil occurred. When the relay is operative, the coil wire may fatigue and burnout due to repeated flexion by heat expansion and shrinkage caused by heat generation through the relay coil.

0 Honda Odyssey

Potential of the power steering pump installing bolt breakage, resulting in power steering assistance loss and heavy steering. Under high speed driving conditions the power steering pump is subject to vibration which may apply excess stress to the power steering installing bolt. In the event the installing bolt may break, the drive belt will slip and the power steering assist will not operate.

0 Honda NVS50 Scooters

A possible manufacturing fault in the waterproof boot assembled on the Throttle Cable may cause the boot to deteriorate when exposed to atmospheric conditions. Some units may experience water contamination of the cable, if operated in wet conditions. If this is left unchecked, this water may freeze in cold conditions causing the throttle cable to become jammed and the throttle may not return to idle.

0 Honda Civic Hybrid

There is insufficient clearance between the Intelligent Power Unit cover and the DC-DC Converter cable terminal, which are positioned on the rear side of the rear seat assembly. If excessive weight is placed upon the rear set back, there is the possibility of a short circuit occurring. This short circuit is due to the IPU cover interfering with the DC-DC Converter cable terminal, this short circuit causes the main fuse to blow resulting in the engine stalling.

0 Honda SCV100 motorcycles 2006

Due to an oversight in the checking process of the front and rear wheel rim and hub assemblies at the factory, some nuts were identified with insufficient tightening torque. If left unchecked the hub bolts may be hit while the vehicle is in motion, resulting in breakage of the hub bolts. In the worst case, this may lead to loss of control of the vehicle.

0 Honda Odyssey

If the rear wiper blade is frozen due to extreme low ambient temperature, and the rear wipe is activated, a condenser within the wiper motor assembly may short circuit. This condition may occur due to reverse electromotive power from the wiper motor. As a result, the wiper motor condenser may generate heat due to high intermittent current flow and in worse case may ignite.

0 Honda Civic Hybrid

The Electronic Control Unit which controls the power steering operation of the vehicle, may receive unstable voltage output, from the motor angle detecting circuit within the ECU. If this situation occurs the fail safe function of the power steering system may not operate. As a result, the EPS warning lamp will illuminate, the power assist function of the vehicle will not operate and the steering system may require increased force for steering wheel operation.

0 Honda Odyssey

Poor contact between the ignition switch contacts which may lead to arcing causing burning of the contacts and increased electrial resistance. As a result, this may interrupt the ignition switch circuit and cause the engine to stall. Additionally, heat generated due to increased resistance may melt solder within the switch and may fall into the drivers footwell.

0 Honda CR-V, Integra, Civic 4 door, Civic 5 door,

Throughout the manufacturing process of the ignition switch, the ignition switch interlock lever may have been contaminated with foreign matter. If the interlock lever is contaminated, the possibility of the ignition key being removed from the ignition switch when the selector lever is not in the Park position exists. As a result, there is a potential the vehicle may move without warning if the handbrake is not applied.

0 Honda Odyssey 1995 and 1996 YM

Poor contact between ignition switch contacts may lead to arcing, causing burning of the contacts and increased electrical resistance. Heat generated due to the increased resistance may melt solder contained in the switch, which could fall into the driver's footwell.

0 Honda MD-X

The MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) will fail to illuminate when an automatic transmission OBD related malfunction occurs. However, the D indicator will flash if Automatic Transmission OBD related malfunctions.

0 Honda Goldwing GL1800

The frame stay may crack at the point where the main stand attaches to the frame.

0 Honda GL1800 (Goldwing)

The park brake valve control knob could be accidently bumped and release the vehicles parking brakes.

0 Honda Accord Euro

A possible defect exists due to the possibility that the trunk harness may become damaged, causing an open circuit and either resulting in the loss of the license plate lamp, reversing lamps or tail lamp operation.

0 Honda CBR600RR

Rear brake master cylinder connecting rod end bearing corrosion, on the affected units. Due to improper material selection for the rear brake master cylinder connecting rod small end bearing the connecting rod end bearing may become contaminated.

0 Honda Odessey EXV, Accord

Under severe conditions the transmission may overheat. If it overheats lubrication may be inadequate and a gear could fracture.

0 Honda Accord

A defect exists due to the possible loss of fuel pressure failure to the engine fuel system. Due to high ambient temperature and severe driving condition concluding in vibration, the fuel pressure regulator valve clip attaching the regulator valve may malfunction.

0 Honda Accord V6 L 2000 Model

A defect exists due to the possible failure of the dimmer control for the instrument panel lights (a transistor in the vehicles multiplex control unit).

0 Honda 01 YM Civic 4DR sedan, Civic 5DR sedan, 02YM Civic 4DR sedan

The head lamp low beam may fail to operate, due to an increase in contact resistance between the male terminal of the head lamp switch assembly and the adjoining terminal coupler. This increase in resistance may cause heat build up to a point where the the system fails.

0 Honda NSV50 (Today Scooter)

When the fuel tank is totally filled fuel may leak from the fuel level unit wiring area, due to imperfect mould filling in production process of some units.

0 Honda NVS50 (Today Scooter)

After continuous heavy brake applicatons, a joining link, within the combined braking system, may distort resulting in lack of rear brake operation and ineffectiveness of the brake system.

2002–2003 Honda GL 1800 Motorcycles

The Main Frame stay may crack at the point where the Main stand attaches to the frame.
