There is insufficient clearance between the Intelligent Power Unit cover and the DC-DC Converter cable terminal, which are positioned on the rear side of the rear seat assembly. If excessive weight is placed upon the rear set back, there is the possibility of a short circuit occurring. This short circuit is due to the IPU cover interfering with the DC-DC Converter cable terminal, this short circuit causes the main fuse to blow resulting in the engine stalling.

The Electronic Control Unit which controls the power steering operation of the vehicle, may receive unstable voltage output, from the motor angle detecting circuit within the ECU. If this situation occurs the fail safe function of the power steering system may not operate. As a result, the EPS warning lamp will illuminate, the power assist function of the vehicle will not operate and the steering system may require increased force for steering wheel operation.
