By accessing or using RecallAU (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
RecallAU is an independent vehicle recall search and notification service. We aggregate publicly available recall data from the Australian Government and make it searchable. We are not a government service and are not affiliated with any government department.
3. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While we make reasonable efforts to keep recall data accurate and current, we do not guarantee completeness or timeliness. Always verify recall information with the official government source or your vehicle manufacturer before making any decisions.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, RecallAU and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages resulting from reliance on recall data displayed on this website.
5. User accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- Free accounts may save up to 3 vehicles for monitoring
- We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the Service
- You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: automated scraping or bulk data extraction, attempting to overload or disrupt the Service, impersonating the Service as a government website, or using the Service for any unlawful purpose.
7. Intellectual property
Recall data is sourced from publicly available government records. The RecallAU name, logo, and website design are owned by RecallAU. You may not reproduce or redistribute the Service's design or branding without permission.
8. Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
