What is RecallAU?

RecallAU is an independent Australian recall search platform for vehicle, product, food, and medicine safety data. Instead of checking multiple government websites separately, users can search one interface and then verify the result against the authoritative source.

Coverage depends on upstream source availability, parser health, and whether RecallAU has recorded a recent completed sync. We show that visibility openly instead of assuming every source is equally fresh at all times.

Data sources

• Vehicle recalls — vehiclerecalls.gov.au (Australian Government). Cars, motorcycles, trucks, trailers, caravans. Includes VIN-level lookup.
• Product recalls — productsafety.gov.au (ACCC). Consumer products across household, electrical, nursery, sporting, and other safety categories.
• Food recalls — foodstandards.gov.au (FSANZ). Allergen contamination, microbial hazards, foreign matter, chemical contamination.
• Therapeutic goods — tga.gov.au (TGA). Medicine and therapeutic goods market actions sourced from the public TGA feed and detail notices.

How it works

1. Search by VIN, product name, brand, make, model, or keyword
2. Filter by recall type and browse dedicated vehicle, product, food, and medicine pages
3. Open the full recall detail and cross-check it against the official source notice
4. Register for free to save vehicles and receive vehicle recall alerts by email

Saved-item monitoring currently focuses on vehicles. Product, food, and medicine recalls are available through public browse and search.
