Defect

A defect relating to vehicle safety exists due to a potential failure of the stop lamp switch, resulting in the stop lamps failing to function when the brake pedal is depressed. The cause of the stop lamp switch failure is an excessive quantity of grease applied to the telescopic steering column mechanism.
