The front brake cable may break. If this occurs the front brake becomes inoperable, in addition, the parking brake no longer functions.

If the defect occurs this poses a hazard to the driver and other road users.

Australia Post and their contractors have been advised to have the front brake cables changed at the earliest possible opportunity.
