RAM Recalls

2017–2019 RAM 1500 DS 3.0 ECO DIESEL

Due to a software issue with the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), the signal from the crankshaft position sensor may fail. As a result, the vehicle may experience a loss of motive power whilst driving and an inability to restart the engine.

2023–2024 RAM 1500 DS, 2500 & 3500

Due to a manufacturing defect, the Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) may have not been welded to the required specifications. As a result, the SCCM could fail to send an airbag deployment signal to the Occupant Restraint Controller preventing the driver's airbag from deploying.

2021–2022 RAM 2500 & 3500

Due to a manufacturing issue, the relay for the air heater intake may experience an electrical short. This may occur when the ignition is On or OFF and could result in an engine compartment fire.

2019–2022 RAM 3500, 2500, 1500

Due to a manufacturing defect, one or both the tailgate strikers may have been misaligned during assembly. This may result in an unintended tailgate opening while the vehicle is in motion or stationary.

2022 RAM RAM 1500

Due to a manufacturing defect, the right-hand front wheel speed sensor wiring routing may have been installed incorrectly during assembly. As a result, the brake fluid hose or the wheel speed sensor wiring may become damaged. If this occurs, brake fluid may leak and cause a reduction in braking performance.

2021 RAM 1500

Due to a manufacturing issue, the side airbags inflatable curtain inflators may rupture without warning.

2021–2022 RAM 1500, 2500 & 3500

Due to a manufacturing issue, the side airbags inflatable curtain inflators may rupture without warning.

2019–2022 RAM 2500 & 3500

Due to a software issue with the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) may fail without warning. This may result in a loss of vehicle control.

2021 RAM 2500 & 3500

Due to a manufacturing issue, the intake air heater relay may experience an electrical short. This may even occur when the ignition is OFF and could result in an engine compartment fire.

2019–2020 RAM 1500

A manufacturing defect may cause the windshield wiper arm head joint to strip.

2014–2019 RAM 1500

Due to a manufacturing defect, the EGR cooler may crack, causing coolant to leak into the intake manifold.

2015–2018 RAM 2500, 3500

The drag link jam nut may loosen and may result in the drag link separating from the adjuster sleeve.

2015–2019 RAM 1500 & 2500

On some RAM 1500, 2500 and 3500 Trucks, the master cylinder pushrod clip may not be secured correctly.

2014–2018 RAM 2500 & 3500

Some RAM 2500 and 3500 Trucks may have a defective tie rod bracket and mounting hardware.

2015–2017 RAM 1500, 2500 & 3500

Some RAM 1500, 2500 and 3500 vehicles may have a defective tailgate latch.

2016–2018 RAM 2500/3500

Some MY 2017 and MY 2018 (up to and including April compliance) RAM 2500 (DJ) and RAM 3500 (D2) vehicles equipped with a certain type of power steering hose may experience a failure of this hose.

2017–2018 RAM 2500 Trucks

Some MY 2018 RAM 2500 trucks equipped with a 12-pin trailer plug, may have a Trailer Brake Module (TBM) installed with the incorrect software.

2013–2017 RAM 2500 & 3500

The water pump may experience a failure which may result in an engine compartment fire.

2014–2017 RAM 2500 & 3500

The Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI) locking pin may become stuck in the open position. A BTSI locking pin stuck in the open position may allow the transmission to be shifted out of PARK into to any gear position without depression of the brake pedal and/or without the key in the ignition, if a key is applicable.

2014–2017 RAM 1500, 2500 and 3500 Trucks

The Occupant Restraint Control (ORC) module on a number of vehicles may activate a diagnostic trouble code (DTC). This is due to external stimulus which disables the ORC ability to sense vehicle rollover events.

2013–2017 RAM 2500 LARAMIE & 3500 LARAMIE

The turn signal speed doesn't change when a globe is not working.
