Defect

Some RAM 1500, 2500 and 3500 vehicles may have a defective tailgate latch.

Hazard

The tailgate latch may disconnect whilst the vehicle is in motion. This may result in loss of unrestrained cargo from the truck. Lost cargo can potentially create a road hazard to other vehicles.

Remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by mail and are advised to contact their local authorised RAM Truck dealer who will inspect and rectify the vehicle free of charge. For further information, please phone 1300 681 792 or visit https://www.ramtrucks.com.au/ to find your nearest dealer.
