Defect

The Occupant Restraint Control (ORC) module on a number of vehicles may activate a diagnostic trouble code (DTC). This is due to external stimulus which disables the ORC ability to sense vehicle rollover events.

Hazard

In the event the ORC module is disabled for a rollover situation, the loss of air bag deployment capability during a crash may increase the risk of injury or death.

Remedy
