On MY21 and MY22 bikes the front brake caliper locking split pins used to mount and secure the front brake pad holding bracket may have been fitted in the wrong direction. If the locking pins are fitted in the wrong direction this can result in the locking pins coming out and cause the brake pad holding bracket to become detached. Resulting in a loss of front braking performance.

A crack may occur on the cylinder contact surface in the engine, the piston may be damaged or seize during the vehicle’s service life. This could cause the piston to get jammed in the cylinder, which would lead to engine damage. The possibility of the conrod being torn off and the crankcase being pierced, and subsequently of oil escaping, cannot be ruled out, this could result in an engine stall (loss of engine power).
