Vehicles with an auxiliary battery installed under the front driver seat may not include a seat base cover, which may result in the seat base being used as a storage compartment, which is not its intended use.

2015–2017 Mercedes-Benz VITO

The driver airbag could be triggered without obvious cause. This is due to electrostatic discharge if the steering column is not sufficiently grounded and the steering column switch module is already damaged or faulty. An airbag warning message will alert the driver via the instrument cluster display as well as a red airbag indicator lamp that the steering column module is damaged or faulty.

In vehicles built within this date range and fitted with a V6 diesel engine, an open circuit in the chip housing of the crankshaft position sensor can occur under certain circumstances. This is due to contamination of the silicone which occurred during the supplier's chip manufacturing process. When the problem occurs the engine may lose power and stop and cannot be restarted.
