Due to a software issue, under certain driving conditions the electric power steering system may become temporarily inoperable. Should this occur, steering will remain functional. However, the driver may experience a noticeable increase in steering effort, particularly when cornering. Additionally, if the driver does not have their hands on the steering wheel for an extended period, the brake jolt triggered by the Emergency Assist (EA) or Travel Assist (TA) assistance functions meant to alert the driver occurs it may misinterpreted as the driver braking.
