REC-003011
active0 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van 906
Investigations have revealed that a windowbag with a defective gas diffuser may have been installed in the vehicle and must be replaced. The diffuser connects the gas generator to the airbag and distributes the expanding air into the airbag following ignition. A faulty diffuser may have irregularities in its composition and hairline cracks which could lead to premature breakage of the diffuser when the airbag is triggered. In a worst case scenario the gas generator can separate from the windowbag module and the airbag is insufficiently inflated. In addition, this separation may also cause parts of the windowbag module or the vehicle's interior panelling to be ejected at high speed into the passenger compartment.

REC-003001
active0 MITSUBISHI NS Pajero (Automatic)
There is a possibility that the bolt welded to the manual control lever (mounted on the automatic transmission) may develop a crack when the shift cable attaching nut is tightened. If this occurs, the shift cable attaching nut torque may be reduced allowing the shift cable to move. This can result in an indicated shift position which is different to the gearshift position at the transmission. In a worse case condition if the driver selects P and or N position, actual shift position at the transmission may be R or D. If this occurs, there is a possibility of unexpected vehicle movement if the accelerator is depressed in this situation.
