The steering shaft U-joint pinch bolt on some right hand drive vehicles may not have been correctly torqued during production. In this case the pinch bolt may become loose and fall out, possibly allowing the steering shaft to separate.

Because of the mounting position of the harness the wire coating may have rubbed on the corrugated protective tubing and damaged the wires insulation.
