2022–2025 VOLVO TRUCKS FH & FM

Due to improper assembly, the battery isolation switch may be susceptible to water ingress. As a result, the rollover sensor could send an incorrect signal to the battery leading to a sudden loss of motive power whilst driving.

2020–2025 VOLVO TRUCKS FLE/FEE (3)

Due to a manufacturing defect, the gear selector switch may fail and send an incorrect signal to the main control unit. This may result in an unintended deceleration, stopping and reversing of the vehicle.

Due to a manufacturing defect within the battery isolation switch sourced from an external supplier it could be susceptible to water ingress.

2020–2021 VOLVO TRUCKS FLE, FEE

Due to a software issue, the vehicle may accelerate without the pedal being depressed. This may result in unintended vehicle movement. Note: The vehicle can be stopped immediately by engaging the hand or park brake and when at low speed by changing the gear to neutral.

2013–2016 VOLVO TRUCKS FL/FE (3)

Due to a software issue, the diesel particulate filter (DPF) silencer may overheat when performing regeneration. This may result in a vehicle fire.

2024 VOLVO TRUCKS FH/FM/FHE/FME/ FMLE (4)

Due to a manufacturing defect, the trim panel above the windscreen may detach from the vehicle whilst driving at highway speeds.

Due to a manufacturing issue, the Pilot Assist System may not operate as intended and fail to alert the driver if the steering wheel is not being held.

Due to a manufacturing issue, the V-stay connection screws in the rear suspension may become loose causing the rear axle housing to move sideways. If this occurs, there is a risk of contact between the tyres and the chassis which could lead to a loss of vehicle performance.

2021–2022 VOLVO TRUCKS FH13, FH16

Due to a manufacturing issue, the V-stay connection screws in the rear wheel suspension may become loose, causing the rear axle housing to move sideways. If this occurs, there is a risk of chafing between the tyres and the chassis parts which could lead to a loss of vehicle performance.

2021–2022 VOLVO TRUCKS FH13, FH16, FM11, FM13, FMX13

Due to a software issue, the front windscreen wipers may fail. In the event of rain this may lead to poor visibility for the driver.

Due to the improper assembly, the passenger upper seat belt screw may not be screwed into the B-pillar. As a result the seat belt may not operate as intended.

2020–2021 VOLVO TRUCKS FM (4)

The airbag control unit may not have been fitted correctly during manufacturing, this could result in an unintentional deployment of the airbag.

2020 VOLVO TRUCKS UD

The bolts/nuts of the spare wheel carrier may not have been sufficiently tightened. As a result the bolts/nuts may become loose due to vibration while driving. If the bolts/nuts come off, the spare wheel carrier and the spare wheel may detach from the vehicle.

The driver is not alerted to low air pressure in the braking system because the air system warning is set too low.

The front brake mounting hardware may have been under torqued and the incorrect torque tool used during manufacture.

The cap nut that retains the inter-axle driveshaft yoke to the rear axle input shaft may be subject to premature loosening.

The main switch in the battery box may crack and cause a short circuit which leads to overheating.

The airline routing may cause excessive load on the VIPS connections causing the brakes to lock on.
