On some heavy-duty trucks with rear tandem-axle and leaf suspensions, the shape of the radius rod brackets mounted to the trunnion cross member is incorrect. The input from the radius rod during driving may deform the cross member, and the bolts securing the cross member and reinforcement may become loose.
