Jayco Iveco Motorhomes with a Cummins Onan generator fitted may have a condition that allows the fuel line from the petrol tank in the storage locker to the generator to sag into proximity with the vehicle’s exhaust.

Selected Jayco caravans and campers that have been manufactured with accessories that may have the weight of the van on the cusp of the limit for a 1450kg axle will be replaced with a 1600kg axle to ensure the vans axle exceeds the requirements.

Some Jayco caravans, Pop tops and campers may have been manufactured with the incorrect wheel nuts.

As a safety precaution, Jayco has decided to provide an additional feature for some Jayco work & play model caravans to fit eye bolts that will provide a fixing point for the straps at the rear when in use.

Jayco is recalling some Jayco Motor Homes that may have been manufactured without a section of 240V wiring underneath the motor home being protected from potential damage.

2006–2008 JAYCO All product fitted w/12v electric awning

A safety strap will be fitted to each of the awning arms to ensure that should the gear in the electric motor break the awning is secured to the van.

A safety check will be carried out on all Jayco motor homes that have been fitted with an exhaust pipe that exits on the side of the van but should exit at the rear of the motor home. This exhaust pipe will be removed and a exhaust system that exits at the rear most area of the motor home will be supplied and fitted.

Inspect the kitchen sink to ensure it has an earth strap fitted.

The basestation vans will be checked to ensure the bolts and lock nuts do not have the threads stripped due to an incorrect lock nut being used. The bolts secure the tie down points inside the rear storage compartment of the basestation.

Depending on the axle and suspension type, specific vans that have been manufactured by Jayco Corporation Pty Ltd may require a change to the jacking point of the van.

2005 JAYCO Caravan Jack

The existing labelling of the Jack does not fully comply with the requirements of the mandatory consumer product safety standard for vehicle jacks based on Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZ 2693:2003 - Vehicle Jacks ("vehicle jack safety standard").

2006 JAYCO Outback Camper

Ensure the spare wheel carrier has a 3rd bolt and nut fitted to ensure better fastening of the rim and tyre to the spare wheel carrier.

2005–2006 JAYCO Unknown

Some air conditioners may not comply with the requirements of the consumer product safety standard for electrical installation. The power supply fitted under the chassis floor may not have conduit fitted to protect it as required by the regulations for electrical installation.

2003–2004 JAYCO Caravan Jack

The jacks in question did not have a mandatory safety label affixed to the body of the jack. The jacks also do not comply with the overload and durability sections of the vehicle jack safety standard.
