Due to a manufacturing fault in the Bendix SR-7 modulating spring brake valve housing, air could intermittently enter the spring brake when the parking brake is applied instead of engaging the spring brakes.

The steering gear mounting bracket missed a machining process and the bolts that secure the steering gear may have incorrect thread penetration into the gear body, either or both of which may result in the mounting bolts becoming loose.
