Inadequate sealing of the ball joint on the left and right front axle upper control arms may lead to accelerated wear in the joint, which in time, could result in a separation of the ball pin from the joint housing. Should this occur normal steering control is no longer possible.

Following increased wear, there is a possibility the link pin could separate from the ball joint housing on the wishbone and thereby compromise steering control at the affected wheel.

Under extremely high dynamic loading there is a possibility that a fracture could occur at the crimp crease of the crimp connections on the front lower transverse control arms. Should this occur proper steering control at the affected wheel may no longer be possible.
