The road wheels on the SX variant are 195/65R15 steel wheels and the SLX is equipped with 205/55R16 alloy wheels. In order to comply with the Australian market regulations, all the affected vehicles will require the 15' spare steel wheel to have two warning labels attached to the outer face of steel rim. The warning labels indicate the spare wheel is for temporary use only at a maximum speed of 80KPH and the road wheel should be replaced with correct size wheel to match the remainder on the vehicle as soon as possible.

REC-000107
active0 BMW G650 Xchallenge
Some G650 Xchallenge motorcycles left the factory with the wrong circlip installed on the left-hand side of the rear wheel-bearing guide. The result can be that this circlip rubs against the spacing bushing. The particles of metal removed by friction can penetrate the wheel bearing and cause failure. There is also the possibility of incorrect sensor signals causing the ABS to malfunction. If this happens the ABS warning light comes on, alerting the rider to the situation. Even under these circumstances, the brakes remain fully available to slow the motorcycle.
