REC-002880
active0 Honda Odyssey
Poor contact between the ignition switch contacts which may lead to arcing causing burning of the contacts and increased electrial resistance. As a result, this may interrupt the ignition switch circuit and cause the engine to stall. Additionally, heat generated due to increased resistance may melt solder within the switch and may fall into the drivers footwell.

Throughout the manufacturing process of the ignition switch, the ignition switch interlock lever may have been contaminated with foreign matter. If the interlock lever is contaminated, the possibility of the ignition key being removed from the ignition switch when the selector lever is not in the Park position exists. As a result, there is a potential the vehicle may move without warning if the handbrake is not applied.

active0 NISSAN D40 Navara
A concern has been detected related to incorrect assembly and manufacture of the rear axle assembly. This issue may result in excessive wear of the rear wheel bearings that will lead to noise occurring from the rear axle. If this is not rectified the bearings could ultimately fail resulting in the half shaft assembly becoming detached from the axle.

There is the potential for a foul to occur between a brake pipe and an engine mounted hose clip, which could eventually result in failure of the brake pipe. This failure could result in a loss of brake fluid which may lead to an increased stopping distance under braking. In addition, there is a risk of fire due to brake fluid escaping into the engine compartment.

After high frequency use of the ignition switch there is a potential for failure of the switch contacts. Should the contacts fail, it could lead to the starter motor continuing to run even after switch release. This condition could lead to abnormal high current draw causing the switch to overheat. In an extreme case, the wiring harness or switch may catch fire.
