If the sensors are exposed to moisture ingress: • the speedometer may not display as intended resulting in the rider unable to determine the speed of the vehicle; • the Antilock Brake System (ABS) may be triggered and cause unintended brake application whilst riding; and • the traction control (TC) system might incorrectly perceive a difference in wheel speed between the front and rear wheels, causing a loss of driving force even when the throttle is opened. Note: Hazard warning lights may appear on the instrument cluster to alert the rider that multiple vehicle functions are not fully operational.
