Due to a software issue, the Evaporative Emission Control (EVAP) system valve may not operate as intended. As a result, the vehicle may not comply with the applicable emissions standards.
There is no safety hazard associated with this recall and the defect will not affect the performance of the vehicle. Vehicles that experience this issue may not comply with Australian Design Rule 79/04 – Emissions Control for Light Vehicles.
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Chery in writing asking them to schedule an appointment with their local dealership to have the vehicle inspected and repair work carried out, free of charge.
