Due to a software issue, the hybrid power control unit could overheat during vehicle operation. If this occurs, it could lead to a vehicle fire.
A vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users and bystanders, and/or damage to property.
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Hyundai, asking them to schedule an appointment with an Authorised Hyundai Dealer to have the work carried out free of charge. For precautionary measure, vehicles should be parked outdoors away from structures and other vehicles until the software update has been completed.
