Defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the power steering pump O-ring seal may have been damaged allowing fluid to leak. If this occurs, it could lead to increased steering effort resulting in a loss of vehicle control.

Hazard

A loss of vehicle control could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to the driver, occupants, and other road users.

Remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Volvo Group requesting they schedule an appointment to have the vehicle inspected and rectified, free of charge.
