Defect

Due to a software issue, the transmission fluid pump gears could fail while driving. This can result in a loss of motive power.

Hazard

Loss of motive power whilst driving increases the risk of an accident, which could result in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.

Remedy

Note: This recall is a re-notification and extension of previous recall REC 000320. Ford will contact owners of all affected vehicles to arrange for inspection and repair, free of charge. For further information, contact any authorised Ford Dealer or Ford Customer Relationship Centre on 13 FORD (13 3673).
