Defect

Due to a software issue, the door control units may not operate as intended. As a result, there may be a loss of multiple functions such as the mirror turn signal, blind spot indicator, mirror folding and adjust, and window control operations.

Hazard

A loss of multiple functions could increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users, and any persons located behind the vehicle.

Remedy

Ford will be writing to customers asking them to contact their authorised Ford Dealer or Ford Customer Relationship Centre on 13 FORD (13 3673) to have the work carried out free of charge.
