Defect

Due to a software issue, the transmission fluid pump gears could fail while driving. This may cause a loss of hydraulic fluid pressure in the transmission, resulting in a loss of motive power.

Hazard

A loss of motive power could increase the risk of serious injury or death to vehicle occupant and other road users.

Remedy

Note: This recall is a re-notification and extension of previous recall REC-000320. Ford will contact owners of all affected vehicles to arrange for inspection and repair, free of charge. For further information, contact any authorised Ford Dealer or Ford Customer Relationship Centre on 13 FORD (13 3673).
