Category: Light Vehicle · Supplier: Hyundai Motor Company
Recall date:
Due to improper assembly, the internal wiring harness of the third-row left seat belt buckles may become damaged. As a result, it could prevent the vehicle from detecting whether the seat belt is properly latched.
In the event of an accident, sudden or unexpected braking, if the seat belt is not correctly latched it will increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted in writing by Hyundai Motor Company Australia asking them to schedule an appointment with an Authorised Hyundai Dealer to have the seat belt wiring harness replaced, free of charge. Note: Use caution when engaging the third row seat belt. Ensure the seat belt tongue is fully inserted and secured in the buckle.
