Defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the rear axle brake hoses may become damaged over time. If this occurs it could lead to a brake fluid leak resulting in reduced braking performance.

Hazard

A reduction in braking performance could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.

Remedy

Owners of affected vehicles should contact their local Mercedes-Benz dealer to make an appointment to have brake hoses checked and replaced if required, free of charge.
