Defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the left and right-side roof-rail airbag inflator end cap may separate or the inflator sidewall could fracture. As a result, the airbag inflators may rupture.

Hazard

If the airbag inflators rupture, compressed gas and metal fragments may be propelled through the airbag cushion towards the vehicle occupants causing serious injury or death.

Remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by PREMOSO in writing asking them to schedule an appointment with their authorised dealer to have the airbag replaced, free of charge.
