Defect

The vehicle specification sheet obtained from the LDV website may have provided incorrect information in relation to gross vehicle mass, axle capacities, payload and towing capacities. If the driver attempts to tow a load higher than the approved maximum weight, this could result in increased braking distances and/or reduced braking performance. This could also result in reduced steering response which may lead to the vehicle to rollover. Note: The website has now been updated with the correct information. The Specifications mentioned in the owner’s Manual and the vehicle’s build plate are correct.

Hazard

A reduction or a loss in braking performance, a reduced steering response and/or vehicle rollover could result in a serious accident to the vehicle occupants or other road users that can lead to severe injury or death.

Remedy

Owners of affected vehicles should discard any specification sheets obtained from the website and only use the owners handbook and the data on the build plate.
