Defect

The steering box mounting bolts may not have been tightened sufficiently and could become loose. This could result in a knocking noise and rattling of the steering wheel whilst turning.

Hazard

A knocking noise and rattling of the steering wheel may distract the driver, increasing the risk of an accident and/or injury to vehicle occupants and other road users.

Remedy

Owners of affected vehicle can contact their authorised Daimler Commercial Vehicle Dealership as soon as possible to have the work carried out, free of charge.
