Defect

A section of the chassis may have a crack on the welded section of the diagonal cross member of the steering box cradle.

Hazard

This may cause the chassis cross member to corrode and break, which could impact the driver's steering, increasing the risk of an accident or injury to vehicle occupants and other road users.

Remedy

Bus and Coach Sales Australasia will contact owners of affected vehicles to arrange for OEM computer modelled and designed strengthening brackets to be welded to the affected area of the chassis.
