Defect

In vehicles where this condition exists, it is possible for the module to experience from minor distortion to considerable melting of the plastic around the HXFS fluid chamber. In some circumstances, it is possible for the heated washer module to cause a fire.

Hazard

In some instances, the Heated Washer Fluid System (HWFS) module may short circuit.

Remedy

GM Daewoo will contact their customers in accordance with their local government requirements. GM Daewoo Dealers will permanently disable and remove the heated windshield washer fluid system from the vehicle.
