Defect

Some rear wheel rims of the scooters are too thin around the centre splined section. This may affect scooters sold from August 2011 to August 2012.

Hazard

The thin section of wheel rim can crack and break, possibly causing the wheel to separate from the main hub and resulting in a serious accident.

Remedy

Consumers should immediately stop riding the scooter and contact the place of purchase to see if their Kwik50 scooter is affected. Alternatively, consumers can contact Xtreme Imports on 94719788 Monday – Friday between 9am and 4pm, via email at brett@xtremeimports.com.au, or from www.xtremeimports.com.au.
