The ball joints may wear prematurely.
Premature wear may result in the ball stud separating from the housing, causing the front suspension to collapse and affecting the vehicle's steering and braking. If the vehicle suspension fails while the vehicle is in motion this may increase the risk of an accident and injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.
Consumer's should arrange to check their ball joints for affected batch numbers and contact their preferred mechanic to have their ball joints replaced. Consumers can organise their no-charge replacement ball joints and reimbursement for installation costs via the Reimbursement Claim Form at www.roadsafe.com.au/product-updates/claim/ or contact Roadsafe on credits@roadsafe.com.au Affected products that have not been fitted to a vehicle may be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund.
