Defect

The fault relates to the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) that controls the deployment of the air bags and seat belt pretensioners. Under high humidity conditions, it is possible for the ECU to short circuit internally resulting in the activation of the air bags.

Remedy

Note: This recall will commence early next year. Customers will be advised. For further information contact your Saab authorized dealer.
