When Cold The Engine May Backfire Resulting In Air Grid Located In Air Flow Meter Becoming Loose And Wandering In To The Throttle Housing. This May Lead To An Increased Idle.

All Owners Will Be Notified By Certified Mail As Of 1.8.1998 And Asked To Contact Their Authorised Volkswagen Dealer To Make Arrangements.
