Defect

The left hand rear door window glass may have been inadequately tempered, due to an improper cooling process during manufacture.

Hazard

If the glass is broken, it will not shatter into small pieces as intended, but rather into large fragments or shards of glass. This could increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Remedy

Toyota will contact registered owners by mail at their last known address, requesting the owner make an appointment at their preferred Toyota Dealer for replacement of the left-hand rear window glass free of charge. For more information, contact your preferred Toyota Dealer or contact the Toyota Guest Experience Centre on 1800 869 682 (Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm AEST).
