Defect

Fastening torque for the spare tyre carrier bolts may be insufficient, due to improper assembly process.

Hazard

The spare tyre may fall off the carrier, posing an accident hazard to other road users.

Remedy

Volvo Group Australia has begun contacting all impacted owners by direct mail. If an owner has concerns about their vehicle, they should contact their nearest authorised Volvo Group Australia repairing dealer for more information or email vga.warranty@volvo.com
