Defect

The ball joint(s) could be damaged in vehicles with high mileage or vehicles exposed to specific severe conditions.

Hazard

If the vehicles are operated for extended periods of time in this condition without any inspection or repair, the ball joint(s) may fail, causing loss of control of the vehicle.

Remedy

Affected owners will be contacted by direct mail. Owners should contact their nearest Ssangyong dealer to arrange an inspection and replacement of the left hand and right hand front lower arm ball joints.
