Defect

The gas generator of some front seat belt tensioners may have been incorrectly crimped onto the actuator pipe of the belt tensioner.

Hazard

Parts of the pyrotechnic system for the front seat belt tensioners may become dislodged on deployment in an accident and enter the vehicle interior, putting the occupants at risk of injury.

Remedy

Skoda Australia will contact owners of affected vehicles in writing with information about how to arrange an inspection and repair. Customers who would like further information can contact the Skoda Customer Call Centre on 1800 607 540.
