Defect

The bracket attaching the secondary steering gear to the chassis may fracture if the bolt tension is not regularly checked.

Hazard

If the bracket attaching the secondary steering gear to the chassis fractures there may be a loss of control of the vehicle, potentially causing an accident.

Remedy

Affected owners will be contacted directly by mail/email. Owners should contact their nearest Western Star dealership to arrange an inspection and repair of the vehicle.
