Defect

The battery cable may be incorrectly positioned and may contact the wiper arm. If this occurs it may result in a short circuit resulting in the failure of the wipers.

Hazard

Non-functioning wipers could lead to impaired visibility for the driver and, in certain conditions, may pose a hazard to the driver and other road users.

Remedy

Letters will be sent to owners of affected vehicles.
