Defect

The brake vacuum hose may have been supplied without an internal check valve. When the engine is not running, this may lead to a loss of brake vacuum assistance.

Hazard

If the defect occurs, this may result in greater than normal brake pedal pressure being required and this may pose a hazard to the driver and other road users.

Remedy

A letter will be sent to affected owners. The vacuum hose will be inspected and replaced if necessary. These repairs will be carried out free of charge.
