Defect

It is possible that the engine wiring harness may chafe on a mounting bracket.

Hazard

In extreme cases this may result in a short circuit.

Remedy

Letters will be sent to affected owners. Owners are advised to contact their authorised Mecedes-Benz dealership a protective cover fitted to the mounting bracket, free of charge.
