Defect

The valve spring material may not have sufficient strength.

Hazard

Excessive stress may be applied to certain points of the valve spring which may lead to the development of a crack, and then potential breakage.

Remedy

Toyota will contact all owners of affected vehicle by phone to explain the concern and to discuss the repair process and timing. All owners will also receive a Recall Notification Letter.
