During production it is possible that the seat belt anchor bolts at the B pillar and seat base may have received an incorrect torque setting. In the case of an incorrectly tensioned anchor belt correct operation of the seat belt cannot be guaranteed in the event of an accident.
Seat belt malfunction
Contact your authorised Mecedes-Benz dealership to have all seat belt anchor bolts checked for correct torque setting, free of charge.
