Defect

Some Subaru genuine towbars fitted to 09M Subaru Forester vehicles may have been produced with inadequate welding on the tow ball mount (TBM-commonly known as the towing tongue or goose-neck) and/or incorrect specification bolts that anchor the towbar arms to the chassis rails.

Hazard

Malfunction.

Remedy

Subaru (Aust) Pty Limited will write to owners of all affected vehicles.
